Dumb
Fake
Fat
Messy
Ugly
Worthless
Noise fills her ears
The laughter that was once friendly now haunts her mind
All eyes are turned on her
The other girls in the bathroom snicker and point
Tears plummet to the ground
As she stares into the glassy mirror before her
No matter how hard she tries, she will never get those names out of her head
They are stuck, like super glue to paper
Everything compiles into this one big monster
A monster with fangs
And claws
And poison
Why?
Why must they do this?
Why must they do this to her?
The other girls know what they are doing
Their insecurities and spite fuel their actions
Putting this girl down just brings them up
Crushing her self-esteem in their path to popularity
How?
How can you help?
How can you, the bystander, help her, the victim?
It is simple: love
To love her is to:
Stand up for her
Be a friend for her
Show you care for her
These actions may seem minute
They may seem meaningless
But they are not
They spark a light inside everyone
The mean girls will realize their ineffectiveness
The girl will realize her true worth
The other bystanders will realize the positive effects of standing up to others
