Summer’s Whisper

Summer

The sun climbs high in a sky so blue,
Painting the world in a golden hue.
Whispers of breeze through emerald trees,
Dance with the hum of honeybees.

Fields awaken in bloom and cheer,
The scent of jasmine drawing near.
Rivers sparkle like strands of light,
Winding through days that stretch to night.

Children’s laughter skips on air,
Chasing dreams without a care.
Ice cream drips in sticky delight,
Fireflies flicker come twilight.

Barefoot steps on sun warmed stone,
Moments that feel like ours alone.
In summer’s glow, we learn to see
The art of simply letting be.

So let the warmth sink in like grace,
Time slows down in this bright place.
A fleeting guest, yet ever dear,
Summer whispers, “I’m always near.”
