Cobwebs and ghosts

Yellow light from the lamposts

Biting wind carrying smells

Of candy and spells

It feels like suspense

Let the trick-or-treating commence

Mask covering her face 

Not even a trace

Grubby hands grabbing lollipops

Chocolate and lemon drops

A brief night of fascination

Halloween: a time of celebration
