Piercing Eye

This photo was taken at the Birmingham Zoo on a field trip for my photography class.

It is a picture of the zoo’s iconic flamingos, but more specifically, a close up image of the birds shape. The shape of the bird is more ambiguous and its eye feels more ominous to look at.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with this photo; flamingos are very photogenic to begin with, so it’s really about thinking of different ways to capture their beauty.
