Keeping New Year’s resolutions can be a pretty hard thing. Many people, admittedly myself, usually make some goals for themselves at the beginning of the year, attempt to follow them, and then completely forget. For me, this is a constant cycle and is something I want to try and change.
Following your goals will help you feel more accomplished and know that all your hard work has paid off, which is a very rewarding feeling. Even if you don’t end up reaching some goals, your progress will definitely still be beneficial to you in the end. Below I’ve listed some tips and extra helpful links to help you keep New Year’s resolutions—enjoy!
Keep Track of Your Progress
The more progress you’ve made, the closer you are to your goals. Keeping track of your progress can help you feel more motivated and you will strive to do more. Even doing just a little every day is still progress, and it will definitely help you in achieving your goals. Having a notebook or maybe a checklist can be a good way to keep track of everything.
Have a Constructive Mindset
This is something that a lot of people struggle with, as most know how hard it is to achieve some goals. But with hard work and dedication, you will be able to achieve whatever you want to do. Your mindset will dictate how much and how you work towards your goal, so having a progressive mindset is a very important part in keeping your New Years resolutions.

Remind Yourself of What you’re Working Towards
This probably seems obvious, but some people just start ignoring their goals and don’t do anything about them; this is definitely something you want to avoid. Reminding yourself of your goals and what you are working for is very helpful and will keep you on track. Self-reflection, even in the form of New Years resolutions, is always beneficial and worth it.

Reward Yourself
Doing things that will make you happy will eventually help you realize that all your hard work will result in a reward. Just doing a few of your favorite things, such as reading, exercising, or just watching a movie, can be nice ways for you to feel happy.
