The first episode of Wednesday was first released on November 23, 2022. For those who didn’t watch the first season, Wednesday is a series following the infamous daughter of the Addams family, Wednesday. In this series she attends Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts. Or according to the residents of the small town of Jericho, monsters. This series follows Wednesday and the people she meets, as they experience the many adventures she has attending Nevermore. Season one ends on a semi-cliffhanger, leading fans to eagerly wait for Season 2. Season 2 was announced on January 6, 2023 and over 2 years later it is set to arrive sometime in 2025.
Season 1 ended with Wednesday getting a creepy text from an unknown number,which said “I’m watching you” along with pictures taken of her, leading many fans to wonder who these were from. We can expect that to be answered in season 2. Another big question being asked by fans is what happened to Mrs. Thornhill? We also can also expect to figure out what happened to her. On the note of what’s been confirmed by Netflix, producers Al Gough and Miles Millar, said “This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex.” A teaser clip has also been released where Wednesday visits Tyler who is being held in a psychiatric hospital. That’s about all for teasers to the plot of the show, but they also have confirmed the cast. New characters include Grandmama, Capri, Barry Dort, and Dr. Fairburn. And notable guest stars include Christopher Loyd, Heather Matarazzo, and Lady Gaga. It’s safe to say that this season will be the best yet!
