[leaf changing specification chart]
A gentle breeze picks up the winds of Autumn
as change flows freely through the speckled leaves.
Resting among the earthy hues,
a thought, a glance, and a dream.
Torrents of thoughts and ideas, a million things to do,
the overly-grandiose expectations
are washed out
and faded away
leaving me
behind.
Autumn falls like a blanket;
a sprinkle of comfort, a pinch of warmth,
and just a little bit of cat fur.
The shifting of seasons brings solace
and loose knots are tied up
as each day presents new beginnings.
